Cycling Without Age Vancouver is a registered charity powered by volunteers. Every tax-deductible dollar you give keeps our trishaws and volunteers on the road serving the seniors of this city.

- $25 → Give a senior a one-hour ride
- $100 → Cover a monthly tune-up for one trishaw
- $250 → Provide a day of community rides for seniors and their families
- $500 → Train two new volunteer Pilots
- $1,000 → Keep a trishaw on the road providing rides for a month

We were inspired to support Cycling Without Age Vancouver because it brings so much joy, connection, and dignity to seniors in our community—many of whom live alone or feel isolated. Watching volunteers take residents out for rides, sharing stories, laughter, and fresh air, is a powerful reminder that simple acts of kindness can have a lasting impact. It’s a beautiful way to bridge generations and strengthen the fabric of our community.
With aging parents, I know how quickly isolation can set in. No one should feel lonely. Aging doesn’t mean losing joy or adventure — we all deserve that at any age. Cycling Without Age gives seniors the chance to get outside, move, connect, and feel part of a community again. That’s why we’re proud to support it.
More seniors will be able to take advantage of these rides and help them discover something new or rediscover what they used to see in days gone by.

Enda
In 2024, we passed by Enda and Neil while on a ride near Kits Beach. Enda flagged us down to ask how we could take her and her husband, Neil, on a ride. Neil lived in a long-term care home in the area. We signed them up for a ride right then. After that first ride, they were hooked and came on a few more that summer. Neil was even interviewed by the local news during our Grandparents’ Day ride! Enda, a renowned Canadian artist, was so moved by her experience, that she donated a beautiful painting to us for our holiday fundraising campaign. The painting was a huge hit! Sadly, Neil passed away in 2025, but the memories they shared on the trishaw remain, and Enda continues to support CWA Vancouver with a donated painting each holiday season. Here’s what she had to say:
“My husband and I enjoyed rides with Cycling Without Age. The first one was around the South Side of False Creek, which Neil participated in planning when he was with Vancouver City Hall decades ago
The CWA team of dedicated volunteers bring joy and connection with nature for elderly who are no longer able to enjoy our beautiful outdoors. I loved seeing my husband Neil’s face light up as if he was riding himself!”
